Pretty Scary – The Mary Celeste

On today’s episode, Adam, Caitlin and Kari talk about the famous and mysterious ghost ship the Mary Celeste!

The Mary Celeste was a cargo ship traveling from New York City to Genoa, Italy in 1872, carrying industrial alcohol. It was discovered floating, empty of its crew and captain, and with nearly the entire ship and its contents intact–only one of the lifeboats missing. There are a number of theories as to what happened, from a mutiny to a fear of the cargo exploding to a curse (obviously) to a story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (of Sherlock Holmes fame) of racial vengeance!

Listen to the episode to hear which theory Adam, Caitlin and Kari think is the most likely!
